I have often tried to sort my favorites in Internet Explorer, but found it time consuming and thought there has to be a better way. Well there is a better and easier way:

Use the drop down Favorites from the tool bar (next to VIEW) and not the one with the little picture beside it.

To sort all the folders inside Favorites

• Click on the Favorites name then
• right click on the first link or folder and
• from the drop down menu select
• sort by name
  now all your folders will be alphabetically sorted, quickly and easily 

To sort all folders inside a subfolder

• Click on the subfolder then
• right click on the first link or folder and
• from the drop down menu select
• sort by name
